FAQ: Is there a way to avoid the current overshoot from CV to CC mode with small current setting, such as 10 A?

There is no way to prevent current overshoots from occurring when a low resistance DUT is instantly applied to the N8900 series. There are no specifications which characterized the response time or overshoot that may occur when the N8900 is instantly loaded to a value above the programmed current setting.

Remember that these power supplies are optimized for CV mode operation. When you instantly load the output to a value above the current limit, it will take some time for the CC mode loop to take over control of the power supply.
